About Me
My name is Jocelyn Rodriguez, a 27-year-old born and raised in McAllen, Texas. After 4 years of studying Mass Communication and Print Journalism, I became the first woman in my family to earn a Bachelor’s degree. While I initially aspired to become a news reporter, I discovered my passion for creativity and helping others, which led me to transition into marketing.
Currently, I serve as the Marketing Director and Event Coordinator for Big Valley Auto Auction, the most prolific auto auction in South Texas. I have built a marketing team and helped the company gain recognition in the auto auction industry. I lead an event planning team, striving to make events bigger and better. I also serve as Chair of the Marketing and Branding Committee for Independent Auction Group, an organization dedicated to supporting and empowering independent auto auctions across the United States.
In Spring 2025, I will pursue a Master’s in Business Administration with a focus on digital marketing, applying what I learn to my future endeavors. My long-term goals include owning a marketing agency and an event center. My experience spans broadcasting, photography, videography, graphic design, planning, analysis, and team building. I’m passionate about using my skills to make a positive impact and build something meaningful.
